Six Canadians will head to Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas this weekend in hopes of becoming just the second Canuck to win the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship. Canadian Golf Hall of Famer, Mary Ann Hayward of Aurora, Ont. became the first Canadian to earn the honour in 2005.

The U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship originated in 1987 and is open to amateurs age 25 and older.
