In the latest vote conducted by the Golf Coaches Association of Canada (GCAC), the Laval Rouge et Or Men’s Squad and the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds Women’s Squad were both unanimous selections as the top-ranked male and female post-secondary golf programs in the country.
According to the GCAC Top 20 – Fall Rankings, the defending Canadian University/College champion Laval Rouge et Or Men’s Squad garnered 100 points, receiving all five first place votes. The Rouge et Or edged the Humber College Hawks (95 points) while the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds (90 points) ranked third. The Western University Mustangs (81 points) were fourth while the University of Victoria Vikes (77 points) and the University of Waterloo Warriors (77 points) rounded out the top-5.
The defending Canadian/University College champion University of British Columbia Thunderbirds Women’s Squad (50 points) are the leaders of the GCAC Top 10 - Fall Rankings. The Thunderbirds were a unanimous selection and garnered all five first place votes. The University of Victoria Vikes followed in second place (45 points) with the Université de Montréal Carabins solidly in third (40 points). The University of Toronto Varsity Blues came in fourth place (35 points) and the University of Waterloo Warriors (28 points) complete the top-5.
