The Golf Association of Ontario has announced its 2013 championship schedule. Registration will also open in the new year and qualifying sites will also be announced at that time.
Several changes have been made for 2013, including; the George S. Lyon team championship will be contested as a senior (age 55+) event in 2013, and then will return as an open event in 2014, alternating between senior and open moving forward. The GAO Mixed Team Championship will be played as a Member Day Event, with the date to be announced in the future.
Also for the first time, a major GAO championship will be contested in the Ottawa Valley this August, with the Ontario Juvenile Championship set to be hosted by Renfrew Golf Club.
