Coquitlam, B.C.'s Soobin Kim, a member of the University of Washington Lady Huskies golf team, finished tied for second at the Westbrook Spring Invitational in Peoria, Arizona on Monday.
Shooting an impressive 54-hole tally of 6-under-par, Kim came just short of capturing her third Pac-12 college championship. Her 72-70-68 (210) total left her two-strokes shy of Gabriela Lopez, a member of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Lopez shot a final-round 66 to steal the victory.
The Huskies finished third at 10-over par. Texas Tech (-2) won the team title and Arkansas (+3) placed second.
Soobin, along with fellow British Columbians and Huskies Monica Hunag of Qualicum Beach and Jennifer Yang of Coquitlam, are back in action at the Juli Inkster Invitational on March 4-5.
