Out of the 13,000 women who participated in Golf Fore the Cure presented by Subaru last season, Angela Gibson was the lucky winner of the Viva Las Vegas contest and she recently returned from her all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas, courtesy of Subaru Canada.

Gibson originally entered Subaru’s contest when she filled out a ballot for the draw at the Golf Fore the Cure presented by Subaru event hosted at the Greenhills Golf Club in Lambeth, Ont., last summer.

Alongside her good friend, Lisa Henderson, both ladies were treated to round-trip airfare to Las Vegas, VIP show tickets including a backstage meet and greet with Golf Fore the Cure ambassador, Celine Dion, two nights accommodation at Caesar’s Palace, a round of golf at the Bali Hai Golf Club and also a rental car for the duration of the trip.

“This was absolutely amazing and it was a really fantastic trip,” said Gibson. “The weather was beautiful and the way this was all organized made it just that much better.”

The chance to take in Celine Dion’s Return to Las Vegas show was a huge highlight for both ladies. Dion’s one-of-a-kind show features 31 musicians and is performed at the Colosseum at Caesar’s palace where Gibson was staying.

“I’ve been to a lot of concerts, so I wasn’t sure what to expect,” Gibson said. “Out of any concert experience I’ve had it was the best concert I’ve ever been to. That girl has pipes and it’s unbelievable the way she can sing.”

From the accommodations at the luxurious Caesar’s Palace to a superb round of golf on the Bali Hai Golf Club, Gibson came back still in disbelief she had ever won such an exciting vacation.

“I honestly still can’t believe I won,” she said. “Everything was so easy and the people were so lovely so I just want to say thank you so much to Subaru, Golf Canada and everyone else involved.”

When asked if she’ll be entering the contest again, it was a no brainer answer for Gibson.

“Yes, hands down,” she said. “I will totally be participating in Golf Fore the Cure this season.”
