The Golf Canada Foundation supports Canadian students by offering them the opportunity to stay in Canada to continue their post-secondary education.
Since 1982, the Golf Canada Foundation has awarded more than $2.1 million in scholarships to promising young golfers.
Funding for the foundation is provided through generous donations from corporations, golf clubs, associations and individual friends of golf. Golf Canada, the Canadian Seniors Golf Association and ClubLink Corp. continue to play important roles in contributing to our scholarship fund each year.
In addition to providing funds directly to students, the foundation also provides money to Canadian college golf programs through the Canadian University/College Support Program.
Fifteen universities and colleges currently receive between $5,000 and $15,000 annually in support of their golf programs and scholarships for student athletes.
The 2012-2013 academic year will provide another opportunity for student-athletes at Canadian universities and colleges to apply for scholarships. The following 14 scholarships will be offered for the coming year, and applications will be made available on this website in April for young golfers to fill out:
- Geordie Hilton Academic Scholarship ($5,000)
- Connor/Spafford Scholarship ($5,000, 2 available)
