Conners to represent Canada at the Jones Cup Invitational
Team Canada member will look to become the first Canadian to capture the prestigious amateur title.

Corey Conners of Listowel, Ont., is set to represent Team Canada at the 2013 Jones Cup Invitational from Feb 1-3, in Sea Island, Georgia.
The invitational is comprised of some of the best amateur players in the world from 10 different countries. It will be contested over the 7321 yard, par 72, Ocean Forest Golf Club.
Conners, a junior at Kent State, received an invitation into the prestigious amateur event after a solid 2012 season. The 21-year-old, finished in a tie for fourth at the 2012 NCAA Championships and this fall won the NCAA Gopher Invitational. He also recently captured the Copa de las Americas overall title, alongside his Canadian teammates, Albin Choi, Brooke Henderson and Augusta James.
As the 39th ranked amateur in the world heading into the event, Conners will look to become the first Canadian to capture the title.
The Jones Cup Invitational began in 2001 and continuously attracts some of the finest amateurs in the world. Past champions include PGA Tour players such as, DJ Trahan, Nicholas Thompson, Luke List and Kyle Stanley.
