Training Camp
Team members are flying from across the country this week to meet up with the Team Canada staff in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Herron Bay Golf Club will be the team’s host facility as they prepare for the 2013 season.
On site the Men’s camp are: Corey Conners, Taylor Pendrith, Garrett Rank, Chris Hemmerich, Justin Shin, Eric Banks and Adam Svensson.
On site for the women’s camp are: Brooke Henderson, Augusta James, Brittany Marchand, Jisoo Keel and Christine Wong.
The training camp runs until Sunday and players will be participating in various golf specific training activities with their coaches.
Over the three days the players will also run though physical training assessments and workouts with Jason Glass. They will gain feedback on their golf games from a trackman combine and also will be K-vested for a 3D view of their swing. Titleist fitting expert, Chad Cole, will also be on site to aid the players with equipment needs.

Where has Team Canada been?
Argentina... National team member Garrett Rank recently competed in Argentina alongside Development Squad member Adam Svensson.
During their trip, Rank and Svensson competed in two events and judging by their tweets, had a lot of fun. They paired up together to finish seventh at the Tailhade Cup and then travelled to Buenos Aires to compete in the Argentine Amateur Championship.
Rank, 25, won the individual portion of the tournament at 6-under-par to earn the No.1 seed for the match play format. Svensson finished stroke play in seventh, after a second round, 68.
Rank soared through match play, making it all the way to semifinals before falling 2&1 to New Zealand’s Joshua Munn.
Svensson, 18, also played well but was eliminated in the Round of 16 by the tournaments eventual champion, Antoni Ferrer Mercant.
A big invite
Corey Conners recently participated in the Western Refining all-America Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas.
He received a tournament invite after tying for fourth place at the 2012 NCAA Championship to conclude his fall season at Kent State.
Conners posted three straight rounds in the 60’s to finish in fifth place, four strokes back of Kevin Penner from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
As a junior he’s currently the 6th ranked played in the latest GolfStat Standings.
