Williams and Emma Bittorf lead men’s and women’s net stableford divisions,
leading into the final round
GLOUCESTER, Ont. – Josh Williams leads both the men’s gross stroke play and net stableford divisions, while Natasha Stasiuk leads the women’s gross stroke play division after Thursday’s second round at the 2026 Canadian All Abilities Championship, presented by BDO, at Hylands Golf Club in Gloucester, Ont.
Entering Thursday’s second round, Williams of Tavistock, Ont. was three shots back of the lead. Williams shot a 2-under 70 with three birdies to sit at the top of the leaderboard in both men’s divisions. Williams recorded 38 stableford points today to sit a total of 72 stableford points through two rounds.
“I struck the ball as good as I can strike it today, I think I had one swing I would take back which was my tee shot on ten, but I just need to make a few more putts,” said Williams. “I mean, 70 is great, I am happy with a 70 I think it keeps me in the mix. I could have been really low today, I had a lot of good luck but only got three putts to drop.”
Being the defending champion entering this year’s Canadian All Abilities Championship, Williams did not feel any added pressure. He has over 25 years of experience as an adaptive golfer and feels comfortable being the defending champion.
“Keep giving myself looks, the putter felt bad yesterday and I didn’t give them a chance to go in, today I thought I rolled the ball a lot better. Tomorrow I just have to keep doing the same and hopefully I catch a couple of extra cups,” added William on what he can do to continue success into tomorrow’s final round.
Josh Hunke of New Dundee, Ont. and Derek Whitson of Medicine Hat, Alta. trail Williams by three stokes in the gross stroke play division entering the final round.
Natasha Stasiuk of Oakville, Ont. shot a 5-over 77 carding two birdies to take the top spot in women’s gross stroke play division after the second round. Stasiuk entered today’s second round six shots back of Emma Bittorf of Strathmore, Alta. but now leads by five shots.
“I had a tough front nine with a couple double bogeys. After the front nine I had a good cry, it felt really good to cry because I had a lot of things in my head and I needed to get it all out,” said Stasiuk. “Instead of getting angry I needed to cry it out instead.
“I am going to go to the range, and to talk to my mom back home because she helps with my self confidence, then I am going to got to bed early and have a big bowl of pasta,” said Stasiuk on how she will prepare for tomorrows final round.
Stasiuk is a five-time Canadian All Abilities champion and hopes to become a six time winner after tomorrow’s final round.
“It would mean the world to me,” said Stasiuk.
Jackson Policicchio of Petrolia, Ont. is one point behind Williams in the net stableford division. Policicchio recorded 35 stableford points to sit at a total of 71 through two rounds.
“It would be pretty cool, I got third in the Golf Ontario one so to get top three in the Golf Canada All Abilities would be pretty cool as well,” said Policicchio.
Bittorf leads the women’s net stableford division after adding 32 stableford points in today’s round for a total of 74 through two rounds. This would be Bittorf’s third consecutive net stableford division title if she remains at the top of the leaderboard at the close of play tomorrow. Tess Trojan of St. Catharines, Ont. trails Bittorf by four points after posting 39 stableford points today to sit at a total of 70 through two rounds.

The stableford scoring format of the Canadian All Abilities Championship awards set points based off a golfer’s net score for the hole. The points will be awarded as follows: Albatross (5 points), Eagle (4 points), Birdie (3 points), Par (2 points), Bogey (1 point), Double Bogey or higher (0 points). The golfers with the highest total of accumulated points over 54-holes will win their respective divisions.
The gross champions will earn exemptions into the 2027 Canadian All Abilities Championship, and the 2027 U.S. Adaptive Open taking place from July 5-7 at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon.
