90 player field is led by five past champions including
defending champion and four-time winner, Judith Kyrinis
BURLINGTON, Ont. – The 2026 Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, presented by BDO, is set to get underway August 5 – 7 at the Burlington Golf & Country Club in Burlington, Ont.
The field of 90 of the top female amateur talents above the age of 25 will tee off in their respective divisions on Wednesday August 5. The field consists of five past champions, led by defending champion and four-time winner, Judith Kyrinis of Thornhill, Ont. (2016, 2019, 2023, 2025). Last year in Lachute, Que., Kyrinis defeated Nonie Marler of Vancouver, B.C. in a three-hole playoff to win her fourth Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur title. Earlier this month Kyrinis added to her trophy cabinet with a win at the Irish Senior Women’s Amateur Championship.
Along with Kyrinis are two-time winner, Shelly Stouffer of Nanoose Bay, B.C. (2022, 2024), Lauren Greenlief of Oakton, Va. (2017), Terrill Samuel of Etobicoke, Ont. (2015) and Canadian Golf Hall of Famer, Mary-Ann Hayward of St. Thomas, Ont. (2008). In addition to five past Canadian champions, 2024 U.S. Women’s Senior Amateur and R&A Women’s Senior Amateur champion, Nadene Gole of Victoria, Australia will be competing this year in Burlington.

Female golfers (aged 25-and-over as of August 5, 2026), with a handicap index of 12.0 or less are eligible to compete in the 2026 Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, those aged 40-and-over as of August 5, 2026, will also compete in the Mid-Master division. In addition, the Margaret Todd Trophy will be up for grabs in the Inter-Provincial team division, running concurrently over the first 36 holes of the tournament. Following Thursday’s second round the field will be cut to the low 70 players and ties based off the Mid-Amateur division with a minimum of 10 players in the Mid-Master division making the cut.
Three notable exemptions are up for grabs for the winner, including entry into the 2026 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, N.J. from August 29 – September 3, as well as a spot in the field for the 2027 Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship and 2027 Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, both presented by BDO.
