June Newsletter
There’s something special about this time of year on the golf course—the courses are buzzing, the sun is shining and golf season is in full swing. It’s the perfect time to get out, enjoy a round and catch up with friends. In our June newsletter, we’re celebrating what’s happening across our golf community from coast-to-coast.
Celebrating Women’s Golf Month

June is Women’s Golf Month—a time to celebrate the continued growth of the women’s game and the incredible community helping drive it forward. Through She Plays Golf, we’ve seen firsthand the impact that growth can have. Golf has a unique way of bringing people together and this month is a chance to recognize the community and connections being built on and off the course. From PGA professionals and longtime players to course operators, coaches, volunteers and those new to the game, women across the country are helping make golf a more welcoming space for everyone.
This month, we encourage you to celebrate by getting out to play, cheering on the women in your golf community and inviting someone new to the game.
At Golf Canada, we’d love to see how you’re celebrating Women’s Golf Month—email us your photos and share how you’re celebrating.

She Plays Golf Championship Series
The She Plays Golf Championship Series, presented by Audi, is underway! The series brings together three enhanced 54-hole championships with $60,000 purses—the GOLFBC Group BC Women’s Open (British Columbia), the PGA Women’s Championship of Canada (Ontario) and the Peloton Glencoe Invitational (Alberta), which is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a $75,000 purse.
The series serves as a meaningful pathway for professional and elite amateurs, with the top finisher in each event earning an exemption into the 2026 CPKC Women’s Open at Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, Alberta.
The first stop took place June 11-13 at Nicklaus North Golf Course in Whistler, BC, where Team Canada member Tillie Claggett captured the title at 3-under par carding 68-71-71-210. Congratulations to Tillie on the win and we look forward to cheering her on as she competes on the national stage at the CPKC Women’s Open this August! The next stop for the She Plays Golf Championships Series, presented by Audi is the Peloton Glencoe Invitational in Calgary, Alberta from June 18-20.
