SHE PLAYS GOLF – ONTARIO FESTIVAL

The Ontario She Plays Golf festival is a citywide celebration of golf for women and girls that took place across the Greater Toronto Area alongside the Ororo PGA Women’s Championship of Canada from July 2 – July 6, 2024.

  • Digital Communities & Resources

    1. Golf & Tacos Social Club – A women-first digital community that allows you to connect with other golf gals and get comfortable hitting the green at your own pace.

    2. The Fundamentals Golf Program – A 6-week online program led by Coach Shayain to help you gain the skills and confidence to participate in any golf event.

  • Junior Leagues, Lessons & Programs

    1. First Tee – ON – Sessions for youth that seamlessly integrate the game of golf with character building, with coaches providing an introduction to junior golf while also preparing participants for life ahead. Visit website for a full list of locations.

    2.Youth on Course – A Golf Canada program where participating courses offer up blocks of tee times throughout the week for Youth on Course members to play for $5 or less. Memberships cost $59.95 for a full 12 month Golf Canada membership, with the benefit of having access to Youth on Course at various courses in Ontario. Visit website for a full list of locations.

    3.Junior Introduction to Golf Program (Mississauga) – A clinic geared towards the new and novice golfer at BraeBen Golf Course. Core fundamentals will be introduced to help build confidence and allow you to take skills learned onto the golf course. Topics covered include Driver, Iron play, Chipping and Putting. Equipment (Balls & Clubs are provided if required).

    1.Iron Lady Golf Leagues – Weekly golf leagues where women of all skill levels come together to play and connect. The leagues are more than just golf – they’re a chance to make new friends, stay connected year round and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

    2.Ladies Links Golf Inc – An organization dedicated to promoting golf for women in a friendly, non-competitive, inclusive environment for women. Our goal is to provide women with an opportunity to meet new golf friends, learn the game of golf, and improve their ability to golf and play courses of any level.

    3. Golf Ontario Women’s Try Golf Series – Women’s Try Golf events focused on FUN. Includes a welcome video/tip, 9 holes of golf (can play 3 or 6), a participant gift, clubs available with no charge and a complementary beverage.

    4. The Smashing Program (Hamilton) – The Smashing program is a series of events ranging from 9 hole tournaments to clinics and retreats all designed to take the “scary” out of golf.
