Call for Applications – Student Ambassador Program
Drive the future of golf while building your professional network
Are you a high-school or post-secondary student looking to break into the sports industry and build connections with established industry professionals? Golf Canada invites you to apply for our 2026 Student Ambassador Program.
As a Student Ambassador, you’ll grow your skills, build your network alongside industry professionals, and inspire your peers to get involved by promoting volunteer opportunities at Golf Canada’s Professional Championships!
With 2026 being the program’s pilot year, you will have the unique opportunity to support Golf Canada’s Professional Championships team in building the Student Ambassador Program from the ground up.
Golf Canada is the National Sport Federation and governing body for golf in Canada, representing more than 375,000 members at 1,522 clubs nationwide. Guided by our 2023–2027 Strategic Plan, we are dedicated to growing the game, supporting excellence at all levels, and ensuring golf in Canada is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all participants.
As a proud member of the Canadian Olympic Committee, our mission is to increase Canadian participation and excellence in golf. Our vision is to be a world leader in golf, grounded in our values of Fun, Inclusivity, Excellence, Integrity, and Accountability.
Professional championships
Golf Canada conducts two professional championships annually – the RBC Canadian Open and the CPKC Women’s Open.
Played annually, except during World War I, World War II, and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the RBC Canadian Open is the third oldest continuously running tournament, and ONLY Canadian stop on the PGA TOUR.
The 2025 Championship put up some impressive numbers with 131K fans, a star-studded field including 21 Canadians, 3.4M broadcast viewers during the final round, $1.6 million in charitable impact, and more than 2000 volunteers. The RBC Canadian Open is more than a golf tournament but is truly an all-encompassing event – including more than 30 unique partner activations and 2 Sirius XM Concert Series.
The 2026 RBC Canadian Open will be taking place from June 8 – 14, 2026, at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley – a world-class venue that has become a foundational host venue in the future of the championship.
Also conducted by Golf Canada, the CPKC Women’s Open was first contested in 1973 and is the ONLY Canadian stop on the LPGA Tour.
Much like the RBC Canadian Open, the CPKC Women’s Open has an impressive record. Globally recognized and twice named LPGA Tournament of the Year, the annual CPKC Women’s Open showcases the brightest stars of the LPGA. The championship sees more than 1200 volunteers each year, and the 2024 championship in Calgary saw a record attendance of 73K spectators.
The 2026 CPKC Women’s Open is taking place from August 17 – 23, 2026, at the Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton.

With our two 2026 Professional Championships taking place in different host provinces, each interested student will be asked to apply for one championship only.
