Q: How did you get into golf?
The story behind how I got into golf is that my parents and I were driving back home from downtown Toronto, and we were passing by a garage sale, and my parents decided to stop. My dad saw junior golf clubs and decided he would buy them for me to try. A couple of days later, my parents took me to a public driving range called Carrick Macross, and I started pounding each ball like it was not my first time hitting a golf ball and instantly fell in love with the sport. The owner of the public range was watching me and told me to join his summer camp, which I did. I got a lot better and started competing in 2016 at US kids’ golf tournaments. I won 4 out of 6 events and qualified my first year for the US kids’ world championship in Pinehurst. The rest was history. I kept working extremely hard to achieve my goals and dreams. Now on the route of playing college golf and hoping to make it on the LPGA tour representing Canada!

Q&A

Q: How did you get into golf?
I would ride in the golf cart with my dad at Big Sky Golf Club when I was younger. I brought out soccer balls, roller blades, frisbees, and even a hockey stick and tennis ball to play hockey on the cart paths. I would play football and play fetch with our dog too. As time went on I would start to hit more and more shots until I was playing whole rounds when I was 7. I grew up on a golf course so that is probably how I got into golf.
