    We had plastic baby golf clubs in our house and the first time I hit my parent’s new TV, they said “time to go to the range!” Since then, I fell in love with the game.

    I played guitar for 6 years – don’t ask me to play anything because I forgot everything I learned…

    It is peaceful, safe, close to the city, and it is right by the ocean.

    When I was younger I would always participate in all the sports at school, when I was ten they had a school golf day so without ever touching a club before I did it and loved it.

    I was born in Finland and speak Russian.

  • Q: What is the best thing about your hometown?

    The people, scenery and my golf club.

    I have never had any real nicknames but some of my close friends call me Hunt.

  • Q: How did you get into golf?

    When I was 4 years old my dad borrowed the hole-cutter from the Calgary Golf & Country Club and he cut three hole locations with real pins in our backyard. I would spend hours a day hitting whiffle balls back and forth

  • Q: How do you mark your golf ball?

    I put one dot beside each number, then I put three dots over the “Pro V1” line, then three other dots opposite that.

  • Q: Do you have any siblings?

    I have four older siblings. Lyn, Jenny, John, and Byron.

  • Q: What is something most people don’t know about you? Any hidden talents?

    I competitively ski raced for the Banff Alpine Racers before I switched to golf full time.

    The beep test is borderline torture.

    A picture of me, post wisdom teeth removal, very puffy cheeks.

    I was fortunate to try many different sports growing up. As a little guy, I played the local par 3 course with my Poppa on weekends and that started my love for the game.

    Most people don’t know that I played drums for quite a while.

    That it is home. I appreciate it more every time I get to be there.

    My parents gave me plastic clubs when I was 2 and I hit balls in my grandmothers living room. I played a real golf course for the first time when I was 4, entered tournaments at 8 and I have loved the game ever since.

    I loved hockey as well growing up and played for 12 years.

    Family and friends I grew up with and I like the city a lot.

    My dad put me into summer camps when I came to visit my grandparents in Vancouver. Then I joined a junior golf league when I lived on Guam which allowed me to meet friends and practice in a group setting.

    I draw a line on it and 1-3 red dots.

    I have 4 younger siblings. My brothers are 17, 10, 9 and my sister is 4.

    My father took me to the driving range when I was about 3-4 years of age, and started liking it. My grandfathers also played and influenced me.

    I followed my dad to the range once a week when I was 6ish, and would hit balls while he would rest.

    I lived in Thailand for 3 years when I was age 5-7.

    It’s very quiet, and I enjoy the nature around it!
