Call for Applications – Board of Directors
Golf Canada is inviting visionary, values-driven, and strategic leaders to join its Board of Directors for the 2026 governance cycle. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing the sport across the country.
As a Director, you will help guide Golf Canada’s strategic direction, ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization, and contribute to creating safe, inclusive, and world-class golf experiences for all Canadians.
Golf Canada is the National Sport Federation and governing body for golf in Canada, representing more than 375,000 members at 1,522 clubs nationwide. Guided by our 2023–2027 Strategic Plan, we are dedicated to growing the game, supporting excellence at all levels, and ensuring golf in Canada is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all participants.

Board Structure & Eligibility
Based on the structure outlined by Golf Canada’s Nominating Committee, the Board of Directors is composed of 11 members, including the President, Vice President, and nine (9) Directors-at-Large. The Board works in close collaboration with Golf Canada’s CEO and Executive Team to advance the organization’s strategic priorities.
Director Eligibility Requirements
All candidates for Director must meet the following eligibility requirements of the Canada
Non-Profit Corporations Act and the Bylaw 21.
- 19 years of age or older
- Do not have the status of bankrupt
- Not been declared incapable by a court in Canada or in another country
- Not be an employee of a Golf Canada or the PGA of Canada
- Can commit to 4-5 virtual, and in-person board meetings annually for a 1-year term
Traditionally, Golf Canada’s Board members begin their service on our committees or councils. This progression helps build familiarity with Golf Canada’s governance framework and strategic direction.
