LEVIS, Que.— The field is set for the 2026 Canadian University/College Championship, presented by BDO. The University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds look to continue dominance and defend their titles in both the men’s and women’s team divisions, from June 16-19 at Golf La Tempête in Lévis, Que.
Twenty men’s teams and 12 women’s teams consisting of 156 players will make up the field for the 22nd playing of the Canadian University/College Championship.
The 72-hole event features both individual and team competitions, with exemptions into the 120th Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship and 112th Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship (2026) – awarded to the individual winners of each respective division. In addition, the winning men’s and women’s teams will earn exemptions into the 2026 Canadian Collegiate Invitationals.
Following the third round, the field will be cut to the low nine men’s teams and the low six women’s teams, or any team within 15 shots of the lead. Individuals within five shots of third place will also make the cut, or any player within the top 10.

UBC enters the tournament as reigning champions in both divisions. The Thunderbirds women’s team seeks to capture their ninth straight win, and the men’s team look to complete the three-peat. Julia Alexander-Carew of Oakville, Ont. will return to defend her individual title. Last year, Alexander-Carew finished the tournament at 7-under, four shots clear of Jessica Ng and Una Chou, both of UBC to win medalist honours.
For the fourth time the Canadian University/College Championship will be returning to the province of Quebec and the first time at Golf La Tempête. Golf La Tempête opened in 2005 and is known for the exceptional quality of its golf courses, facilities, premium services and innovative character. The club previously hosted two international events, the 2009 Telus World Skins Game and the 2014 Quebec Championship an official PGA Tour Champions event. With the opening of its brand-new South Course (Parcours Sud), Golf La Tempête has recently completed a major expansion, elevating the club to a 36-hole championship facility.
