NEEPAWA, Man. – Ryan Mosher won his second NextGen Championship of the season and Serin Girard battled from behind to win at the 2026 NextGen Prairie Championship at Neepawa Golf and Country Club in Neepawa, Man. on Sunday.
Mosher of Saskatoon, Sask. entered the final round tied for first with Luke Bernakevitch of Victoria, B.C. Mosher was leading by two stokes through 15 holes. Bernakevitch birdied no. 16 and 18 to force a playoff. On the first playoff hole Mosher birdied to secure the win.
Mosher finished the tournament at 7-under to secure his third NextGen Championship title. He recorded rounds of 70-68-71-209 and carded one eagle and 12 birdies through three rounds. Mosher’s previous wins on the NextGen Championship circuit came at the 2026 NextGen Western Championship at Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka, Alta. and the 2024 NextGen Prairie Championship at the Whitewater Golf Club in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Girard of Richmond, B.C. entered the final round at 7-over and10 shots back of the leader Grace Odnokon of Saskatoon, Sask. Girard shot a 3-over 75 to tie Odnokon at 10-over and force a playoff. On the first playoff hole Girard’s par secured the Girls division title. Girard recorded rounds of 77-74-75-226 and carded five birdies through three rounds to earn her first win on the NextGen circuit.

The field of 111 players (91 Junor Boys and 20 Junior Girls) teed off Friday with a cut following Saturday’s second round.
The NextGen Championship series continues June 29-July 1 at Lachute (Club de golf) in Lachute, Que. for the playing of the NextGen Quebec Championship. Practice rounds will get underway on Sunday, June 28, followed by 54-holes, set to kick off on Monday, June 29 and wrap up on Wednesday, July 1.

About the NextGen Championships
The NextGen Championships are a high-performance junior golf series which totals six competitions. From May to July, six championships will take place across Canada where the region’s best junior golfers will compete to earn exemptions into their respective 2026 national championships. NextGen Championships provide junior players an opportunity to develop and showcase their skills at the highest level of tournament golf.
