MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – A stacked field is set to compete for the 112th Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship, presented by BDO at The Toronto Golf Club in Mississauga, Ont. from July 21 – 24.
Along with earning the Duchess of Connaught Gold Cup, the winner will receive an exemption into the field for the 2026 CPKC Women’s Open at Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, Alta., August 19 – 23 and the 2026 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship in Ooltewah, Tenn., August 4 – 9.
The Field
The tournament will feature a field of 156 players competing with 12 countries represented, including: Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Czechia, France, Japan, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Forty-eight (48) of the top 250 players on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) are in the field, led by Aphrodite Deng of Calgary, Alta. who is the lowest ranked competitor, currently No. 7. Fellow Canadians Vanessa Borovilos (Etobicoke, Ont.) and Lauren Kim (Surrey, B.C.) are also ranked inside the top 20 in the world. Tournament Format
The tournament will feature a field of 156 players competing over 72 holes of stroke play, beginning on Tuesday, July 21. The inter-provincial team championship will run concurrently through the first 36 holes of the tournament. Each day, the lowest two out of three scores will count towards the team’s total score. Additionally, The Toronto Golf Club will play to a Par 71 with a cut following Wednesday’s second round. The low 70 players and ties will advance to the final two rounds of the national championship.

2023 – Lauren Kim (Surrey, B.C.)
Xing enters as the defending champion after finishing as the only player under par (2-under) last year at the Riverside Country Club in Rothesay, N.B. Xing won by four shots over Macey Pate and Eunseo Choi.
Li won in 2024 after firing a 3-under 69 to climb the leaderboard after entering the final round five shots back of the lead. Li finished at 8-under to win by one over Ashley Kozlowski at the Royal Colwood Golf Club in Victoria, B.C.
Kim won in 2023 by one-stroke over Brooke Rivers after firing a final round 2-under 71 to finish at 8-under at the Ashburn Golf Club in Halifax, N.S.
Inter-Provincial Team Championship
Since 1947, Ontario leads the way with 42 team titles, with British Columbia (B.C.) second with 22. Only Quebec (7), Alberta (4), Manitoba (1) and Saskatchewan (1) have won in that time frame. Most recently, B.C. and Ontario have enjoyed the most success having won four times over the past ten editions of the team championship (no team title was awarded in 2020 or 2021). Team B.C. are the defending champions after preventing an Ontario three-peat last year.
