MONTRÉAL, QC – The Board of Directors of the Québec Golf Federation (Golf Québec) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jean-Philippe Bastien as Executive Director. Mr. Bastien will take office on September 28, 2026, and will benefit from a transition period with the current Executive Director, Mr. Jean-Pierre Beaulieu.
A seasoned executive manager and unifying leader, Jean-Philippe Bastien brings more than 15 years of experience in executive and operational leadership across varied sectors, including higher education, tourism, international entertainment, and financial services. Until recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy General Director of the largest private higher education institution in Québec, where he oversaw operations for major campuses, government relations, and large-scale project management.
Holder of an EMBA from UQAM, Lean Six Sigma certified, and a graduate of CICan’s Presidents’ Institute, Mr. Bastien has built a strong reputation in strategic planning, major commercial partnership negotiations, and governance. He also led international marketing at the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec and the corporate sales and sponsorships division at Six Flags – La Ronde.

An engaged leader recognized for his ease in navigating complex business environments and a golf enthusiast, Mr. Bastien will be tasked with ensuring the federation’s sustainable growth, optimizing the member experience, and accelerating the development of golf across the province.
