Svensson and Silverman finish T8 at Rust Oleum Classic

Canadians Adam Svensson (Surrey, B.C.) and Ben Silverman (Thornhill, Ont.) finished T8 at 5-under par at the Web.com Tour’s Rust Oleum Championship, in Invanhoe Il, eight shots back of the winner Germany’s Stephan Jaeger.

The 23-year-old Svensson carded an even par 72 on Sunday at the Ivannhoe Club, and Silverman posted a 1-under par 71.

Coming into the week, Svensson was 60th on the Web.com Tour’s Order of Merit. He jumped up to 45th thanks to his second top-10 finish this season.

His first was a career best T6 at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship at Corales Golf Club in May.

Silverman birdied three of his last four holes on Sunday and will move from 87th to 61st on the Web.com Tour’s Order of Merit after his best result of the season.

Adam Svensson T9 after round three of Rust Oleum Championship

Adam Svensson (Surrey, B.C.) carded an 2-over par 74 to sit T9 after three rounds at the Web.com Tour’s Rust Oleum Championship, in Invanhoe Il.

Svensson – a graduate of Team Canada – went out in 1 over par on the front nine at the Ivannhoe Club. He carded a 37 (+1) on the back nine to sit eight shots back of the leader Germany’s Stephan Jaeger who carded a third round 68 (-4) to move to 13-under par.

The Barry University alumni’s his best ever finish on the Web.com Tour came earlier this year, at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship at Corales Golf Club when he finished T6.

Coming into the week, Svensson was 60th on the Web.com Tour’s Order of Merit. He is looking to improve on his 59th place finish a year ago.

Ben Silverman from Thornhill, Ont., is T15 (-4) after a 1-over par 73 in round three.

Calgary’s Ryan Yip carded a 2-under par 70 on Saturday to move into T30.

Adam Svensson T9 after round two of Rust Oleum Championship

Surrey, B.C.’s Adam Svensson carded a 2-under par 70 to move to 7-under par and sit T9 after 36 holes at the Web.com Tour’s Rust Oleum Championship, in Invanhoe Il.

Svensson carded four birdies and two bogeys on Friday at the Ivanhoe Club to head into the weekend three strokes behind leader Jason Gore (Valencia, Calif.).

A graduate of Team Canada, Svensson had his best ever result on the Web.com Tour earlier this year, finishing T6 at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship at Corales Golf Club.

Coming into the week, the Barry University alumni was 60th on the Web.com Tour’s Order of Merit. He is looking to improve on his 59th place finish a year ago.

Ben Silverman from Thornhill, Ont., was in a tie for second after round one. He carded a 1 over par 73 in round two to sit T23 at 5-under par after 36 holes.

Ben Silverman T2 after round one of Rust Oleum Classic

Canadian Ben Silverman is tied for second at six under par after round one of the Web.com Tour’s Rust Oleum Classic, in Invanhoe, IL.

The Thornhill, Ont., product fired an opening round 66 at the Ivanhoe Club to sit one shot behind the leader Brice Garnett (Gallatin, Mo.), who tied the course record with a 7-under par 65.

Silverman had five birdies, an eagle, and just one bogey on Thursday to equal his low round of the season.

His first 66 was in the second round of his best result of the year, a T17 at the shortened BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation at the Furman University Golf Club in Greensville, S.C

Coming into the week Silverman was ranked 87th on the Web.com Tour Order of Merit. He’s looking to improve on his 131st place finish a year ago.

Calgary’s Ryan Yip is T5 after 18 holes thanks to an opening round 67 (-5). Yip, a graduate of the Team Canada Amateur Team, had his best result of the season at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by NACHER, at Le Triomphe Golf and Country Club, when he finished T9 in Broussard, LA, in May.

Fellow Team Canada alum Adam Svensson (Surrey, B.C), is also T5 at 5 under par. Svensson finished his round with three birdies to card a 67.

Team Canada Young Pro Squad member, Corey Conners, (Listowel, Ont.) carded an opening round 2-under par 70 to sit T35.

Canadian Ryan Yip T10 after round one of Rex Hospital Open

Calgary’s Ryan Yip, is T10 after 18 holes at the Web.com Tour’s Rex Hospital Open, at TPC Wakefield Plantation, in Raleigh, N.C.

Yip teed off on 10 and was even through nine. He then birdied four of his last six holes and carded a 4-under par, 67. He is three shots behind the leader Chesson Headley (Raleigh, N.C.).

The Team Canada Amateur Squad graduate is looking for his second top-10 finish of the the season. His first came at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by NACHER, at Le Triomphe Golf and Country Club, in Broussard, LA, back in May.

Roger Sloan (Merritt, B.C.) is T16 after an opening round 68 (-3).

Sloan is looking to climb back into the top-25 on the Web.com Tour’s Order of Merit, after dropping to 28th following a missed cut in his last start at the BMW Charity Pro-Am Presented by Synnex Corporation at the Furman University Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.

Canadian Adam Svensson finishes T6 in Punta Cana

Canadian Adam Svensson, of Surrey, B.C fell short in his bid for his first Web.com Tour victory Sunday, finishing T6 at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship.

Svensson finished at 17-under, three shots back of winner Nate Lashley. Svensson’s T6 finish is his best ever result on the Web.com Tour.

His top finish prior to this weekend was a T9 at the 2016 LECOM Heath Challenge.

Svensson birdied the first hole to move into a tie for the lead, but didn’t make another until the 12th hole, recording 10 straight pars.

After another birdie on 15, he was two shots back at 18-under. That was as close as he got, before bogeying the par-3 17th.

This is Svensson’s third career top-10 finish on the Web.com Tour.

Canada’s Svensson T3 after round three in Punta Cana

Canadian, Adam Svensson, of Surrey, B.C continued his solid play at the Web.com Tour’s Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship Saturday. He fired a three-under par, 69, and is one shot back of leaders, Kyoung-Hoon Lee, and Rafael Campos.

For the second straight day, Svensson was four-under par after the front nine, thanks to four birdies and no bogeys.

A double bogey on the par-4 15th dropped him to 2-under for the day. He rebounded with a birdie on the par-4 18th to finish the day three-under.

Svensson – who will tee off in the penultimate group tomorrow – is looking for his first career victory on the Web.com Tour. He has two career top-10s, his best result a T9 at the 2016 LECOM Health Challenge.

He told the PGA’s Adam Stanley after his round that he’s happy to be in a chasing position heading into Sunday.

Canada’s Adam Svensson 3rd place after 36 holes at Corales Puntacana

Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C recorded eight birdies on route to a 7-under par round (65) at the Web.com Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship. He’s 12-under par for the championship and is two shots back after 36-holes.

Svensson rebounded well after dropping four strokes in his final two holes on Thursday. He went out in bogey-free 4-under par 32, thanks to back-to-back birdies on holes three and four, then again on holes seven and eight.

He got as low as 8-under for the day before making his lone bogey on the par-4 16th.

The 23-year-old had two top-10s on the Web.com Tour last year and his best result this season was a T20 at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by NACHER. His round of 65 is one off his career best of 64 on the Web.com Tour.
