Championship Information
The NextGen Championships have established a reputation as the premier junior golf circuit in Canada. With six regional championships taking place from May to July, there are over 800 playing opportunities available for junior boys and girls. This elite golf series also introduced two Fall Series events to extend the competitive season for juniors. Coveted exemptions into the Canadian Junior Boys and Girls Championships are awarded to the top finishers in each championship.
Since the inception of these regional competitions in 2000, these events have provided Canada’s young elite golfers with opportunities to expand their competitive experience. Competitors have gone on to earn collegiate golf scholarships at various North American post-secondary institutes, play in and win the Canadian Junior and Amateur Championships, and even gone on to play professionally. Past champions of these tournaments include PGA and LPGA TOUR winners including Adam Hadwin, Nick Taylor, and Brooke Henderson.
